Howard Center required an overhaul of their existing Web Time Entry Web application that tracked time worked for approximately 30% of their 1,000 staffmembers. Panther provided extensive technology and usability consutling, and designed, developed, usability tested, and documented the major changes required. Tangible end results include:
- All 100% of 1,000+ staffmembers now enter their time online
- Web 2.0 technologies result in on-the-fly validations and feedback data to speed up data entry and reduce errors
- All data for time tracking, payroll, and payor billing that can legally be collected in this way are now collected via the Web Time Entry Web application.
- Entire new classes of data are collected and validated, including group therapy, residential census data, and more.
- Data entry errors reduced by client-side and server-side validations
- Inconsistencies in methods for collecting data removed
- Data entry is centralized and consolidated, resulting in fewer loose ends, less employee time spent with data questions, and one time entry application to train

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
Consultant Support for Large Institutional Database-Driven Web Sites
The Dartmouth-Hitchcock organization implemented a new database-driven content management system for all of their facilities in New England. The Marketing Director of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center requested support from Panther in:
- Assessing the usability of the content management tool
- Assessing the effectiveness of training and user support for the tool at DHMC
- Identifying areas of usability in the external, public Web site that could be improved
- Conducting a usability study for the DHMC Web site for all major stakeholder groups, with:
- 20 participants
- One hour per study
- Task testing
- Open-answer questioning
- Post-test attitude testing
With Panther support, DHMC was able to identify:
- Usability issues that could be corrected
- Attitudes of potential staff, potential patients, and the public about DHMC after using the Web site
